Thanks for sharing the link. I think the trick with Ad #1 is making sure the church -- the people and programs, not just the pastoral staff -- is actually prepared to welcome and accept people just the way they are. It's easy for leadership to say "we welcome you just as you are" (and sincerely mean it), but the proof in the pudding is with the people in the pews. The reality better match up to what's offered in the Ad.
